ABSTRACT
Gateway is a device that connects a network with
other computer networks. Gateway will allow a network to exchange information
with other networks,
although using different protocols. Along
with the proliferation of internet
gateway definitions often shifted. not
infrequently beginners equate "gateway" to the "router" is actually not true.
FreeBSD can be
used as a gateway server to install
quagga applications. Quagga is a routing
software that provides routing services based
on TCP / IP such as RIPv1,
RIPv2, RIPng, OSPFv2,
OSPFv3, BGP-4, and
so forth. Can be used on the quagga OSPF
(open short path
first), OSPF is working to create a link state
hierarchical routing table. OSPF
will work with
the requesting routing table information other routers that are
on the neighbor. OSPF
is thus suitable
for a network that is connected to a little market large and complex
networks, because it will ease the task of
the network administrator to update routing tables.
